On December 19, it was learned that the Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Phase II expansion and high-end new materials project has been fully mechanically completed, setting multiple records for the most extensive application of independent innovation, highest level of intelligence, and optimal energy conservation and emission reduction among domestic projects of similar scale. With this, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical's refining capacity has been increased to 40 million tons, bringing the total refining capacity of the Zhejiang Ningbo Petrochemical Base to over 50 million tons, making it the largest, most technologically advanced, and strongest competitive world-class petrochemical base in China.
